Biografía: 

Farmacólogo, doctorado en la Universidad de California, UCSF Medical Center en 1978. Postdoctorado en Departamento de Farmacología de la Escuela de Medicina de New York University (NYU). Profesor Titular de la P. Universidad Católica de Chile (1998-2013), Facultad Ciencias Biológicas, y Universidad de Santiago de Chile, Fac Química, Depto Biología (2014).

Lineas de Investigación: 

Su línea de investigación se enfoca en la secreción ATP extracelular y señalización por receptores P2X/P2Y; mecanismos de regulación alostérica receptores P2X por Cu(II), Zn(II), ivermectina, neuroesteroides y polifenoles. Estudios bioinformáticos para modelar la modulación alostérica por biomoléculas; farmacología de polifenoles naturales, diseño de biomoléculas.
